Unite and Take a Stand (Justice for Julian Dawkins)

Peace be unto you reader. This week I would like to dedicate this article to 22 year old Julian Dawkins of Alexandria, Virgina; who was murdered by an off-duty Virgina sheriff deputy. As of yet, no charges has been filed in this case, where an off duty, so-called, officer of the peace shot and killed an unarmed man in the street. My heart and prayers go out to his family, and may they find peace and justice in this matter.

Is it me, but does it seems it's almost like the badge stands lawlessness? Everyday I hear of news reports about a police officer, on and off duty, murdering someone, but they deem it justified because the shooter is a police officer. They can be caught on film unjustly assaulting a black man and still not be found guilty. It's not until they kill a white person before charges actually stick to the accused shooter. Enough is enough, and I refuse to be humiliated, harassed, assaulted, and brutalized by the so-called officers of the peace, as should each and every last one of you. Brothers and sisters, it is time we take a stand against these brutal forces; a stand of self-defense and due justice no matter the price and by any means necessary.

We must stop fighting with and killing each other and unify collectively as a whole. If we all were to make just a little more change, imagine the metamorphosis that would come about collectively. We must not be afraid to face our opposing adversaries head on, for they have shown that they will go to extreme measures to hold on to their power structure, and their strongest weapon against us is fear. They use the fear of enslavement, the fear of death, and the fear or poverty to control the masses. What me must take into consideration is; how can one fear something that is eminent for every human being and living thing on this planet? Surely as we were born, we are going to die. I understand that nobody looks forward to a premature death , which is very probable when you battle against a system that is determined to keep the oppressed, oppressed, but that should not discourage us from seeking justice and freedom from oppression.

I read somewhere (not exactly sure where I read it) that a minority group living in an environment of prejudice and discrimination will produce one of three types of responses which are avoidance, acceptance, or aggression. There is more than enough truth in that statement or analysis. Take a deep look inside of yourself and see where you are in this type of analysis or where do you fit in this statement. Are you in avoidance, are you in acceptance, or are you in aggression? Being in aggression is not a negative, but a positive when it comes to something of this matter. I must say that if the mass majority of the minority live and operate within the first two, their is no way for us to bring about the total change that is needed for us as a people in this United States of America Inc. I for one refuse to take an avoidance and or a acceptance stance when it comes to these matters.

They cannot enslave and murder us all unless we submit, and take a passive stance. We must not be the aggressor but the defender. We must continue to push for change and stand our ground while doing so, within the means of the law, but when they begin acting criminal defend yourselves against those criminals. It is all of humanities natural law and natural right to defend yourself against unlawful attacks that threaten harm to you and your brethren alike. Who wouldn't want a peaceful revolution or a peaceful solution, but they will not allow that. They know not of peace, but violence. The truth of the matter is, it takes violence to beget violence. Being non-violent in the face of violence will not resolve the end of the violence, and the non-violent becomes the oppressed. History is written by the victor, and the victor is not and cannot be the oppressed on the side of oppression. To quote Dr. Huey P. Newton "Black men and women who refuse to live under oppression are dangerous to white society, because they become symbols of hope to their brothers and sisters, inspiring them to follow their example."

I am not saying grab our guns a go on the warpath with the police officers in this country, but what I am saying is that enough is enough. If they cannot or will not protect us but instead brutalize us, it is our God given right to defend ourselves and our communities from such attackers.

I have given my Notice of Self-Defense, so their is not question on where I stand.

NOTICE OF SELF-DEFENSE:

I, Dominick Quarles, being aware of the increased violence being visited upon African-Americans, and the open sanction of this violence and murder by the police departments throughout the UNITED STATES of AMERICA and its federal agencies, do affirm my right and obligation to defend myself for survival as a human being, whatever the price may be and by any means necessary.

Again, my condolences and prayers goes out to the Dawkins family. As usual, I thank you for taking time to read this and I hope that we, as a people, can espouse unity with ourselves. As I leave, I want to leave you, the reader(s), with words of peace. So I say to you all, As-salamu-alaykumu!
